WALT describe 2 objects to compare them, and contrast them.

On the trip we found a long wiggly leaf  and a big smooth rock.
Both objects came from outside.
The rock is triangular, and the leaf is irregular.
The rock is heavier than the leaf.
I like the rock because it is hard and I like the leaf because it is pointy.

Making bridges to save our Ginger Bread Men

We are learning to measure the lengths of objects.
We drew the bridge and coloured it. We were building the bridge for the GMB so The GBM can get to the other side of the water. We had to make it long enough to reach the other side of the river.
Gabriella
We glued the bridge on to the river. We were making a bridge because the GBM can run over the river. Our bridge is long, it was able to reach across the river. Our bridge was narrow.
Nevaeh
We measured our bridge to see the length of the bridge across the water. Our bridge is long it goes from bank to bank. Our bridge is narrow you can put 1 GBM across on the bridge.
Jack
We were making a bridge to put the GBM on, to get away from the fox because he can’t get across the river. We put all the long bridges together to make the bridge go from one side to the other.
Nazim

We made a bridge so the GBM can cross over to the other side of the water.
We stuck the 2 pieces of paper together, to make the bridge longer so the bridge can fit across the water. It was little bit too short. It did not reach to the other side.
Samuel
We were making the bridge for the GM so he can get away from the fox. He could not cross the river. We got big pieces of paper and drew the bridge we sellotaped them together because with one piece it was too short to get across the river. Our bridge was too short.
Iviongo
We glued the bridge on the river because we have to make a bridge for the GBM. He was trying to get across the river.  Our bridge is too short.
Myra

We made the bridge for the GBM to get across river, to get away from the fox. We used newsprint and sellotape to make it longer. We had to make it longer to stretch it across the river. We could put 5 GBM across the bridge, it was wide.
Waimana
We were making a bridge so the GBM can get past the river. We put a piece of paper on the table and sellotaped it together with another one. We did this so the bridge can be long enough to get from one side of the river to the other side. We used 4 pieces of paper to make the bridge.
Leausa
We took the bridge to the river to see if the bridge was long enough to reach to the other side of the river. We measured the bridge.  It wasn’t long enough so we put another piece of paper on the bridge. And that made it long enough, we put it onto the river and it was long enough it went from the bank to the other bank.
Hunter
We made the bridge for the GBM to go across the river. We made the bridge with 3 pieces of paper. We put the paper on the floor so we can measure the length across the river.  It was not long enough so we got some more paper and we stapled it onto the bridge, to make our ridge longer.
Jeremiah
We made a bridge for the GBM to go over the river. We made it with 3 sheets of paper. We stuck the paper together to make it like a bridge, so GBM can cross the river. 1 piece of paper was too short to cross the river, but 3 pieces of paper were long enough to cross the river.
Inangaro
We had to make a bridge for the GBM. He was trying to go across the river.  We used paper to make the bridge. We put the bridge on the ground to check if the bridge went from one edge of the river to the other edge of the river.

We went to the beach. We looked for rocks shells and crabs.

I chose the rocks because they have interesting lines.

Here is the shell, it is long and interesting. I found it by the rock.
